Health: Boutique Fitness Studios

With decades of of training experience in the fitness industry (and a lifetime of watching goodness pour from peoples’ lives when they know someone believes in them), Jason Burgoon has created havens for ALL people — of all backgrounds, body types, and fitness levels. Approximately 400 clients pour through the doors of his businesses each week — Bodies by Burgoon (personal training) and Torque Cycling (indoor cycling studio) — in a market flooded with uncountable boutique fitness studios.

It hasn’t been an easy road, but it certainly has been one filled with passion and purpose.

By the age of 16, Jason had lost two siblings, lost his father tragically to cancer, and defied odds of survival, let alone walking, after getting hit by a van driving 55mph while on his bike when he was just 13-years-old.

While his past motivates him, the experiences have never defined or held him hostage. Instead the experiences ignited a drive to always help others, the way others helped him through the many challenges he faced in life — compassionately and generously. He hangs on to what he learned from his father in their hours of workouts, working, and quality time: to work hard, work honestly, treat people with respect, and to always stick up for people, if they needed it.

He started the fitness businesses after several years in a corporate gym because he wanted to create unique and safe environment where lives would be changed: a place overflowing with encouragement, a place where everyone shows how much they care for each other, a place where one person can make a difference, a place where people never give up – no matter what. He wanted to create havens where clients reach their own goals, and then are driven to create more goals (than they ever thought possible!), for more reasons than they could have comprehended at the beginning of their journeys.

All he learned from his father and life experiences (good and bad) clearly guided his life — a life lived to change other lives for the better — every single day.
